The Candeliers, Milwaukee’s answer to the popular baroque pop groups in the 60s, finally have their own take on a classic sound committed to recording. Nearly three years in the making, their self-titled album debut is filled with strings, brass and the boy/girl harmonies that make it so reminiscent of a certain bygone era. Add banjo and a few electronics, and the Candeliers’ sound manages to stand alone,  unfaded.

The album will be played in the full tonight at Linneman’s, giving the audience a bit of a ‘listening party’ before they pocket their own copies. Catch a song, below, before heading out tonight. Also playing: Heidi Spencer & the Rare Birds and The Goodnight Loving. Linneman’s is located at 1001 E. Locust. 10 p.m.
