Slamdance Underground Film vs. Underground Music this Friday

Slamdance and Milwaukee Film bring Underground Music vs. Underground Film Tour to MKE this Friday. Local filmaker, hairdresser, promoter, DJ and VS REEL Milwaukee columnist Howie Goldklang has leveraged his long-time relationship with the Slamdance Film Festival to bring this tour to Brew City. With a sweet slate of acts, plus $5 a pop with a free Slamdance DVD thrown in just for coming by, there’s no reason not to bask in the sticky-floored glory of the Y Not III. Here’s the details:

While best known for its annual film festival, Slamdance is launching its celebratory 15th year anniversary by bringing the new element of independent music into the fold. Milwaukee Film is getting in on the act and inviting you to join us. The Slamdance Underground Music vs. Film Tour kicked off in Brooklyn on New Year’s eve and will arrive in Milwaukee Jan. 9 at the Y Not III.
