Elusive Parallelograms, 1956, Certain Stars, 10 p.m. @ Cactus Club (2496 S. Wentworth Avenue)
Want to see the Dandy Warhols minus the unnecessarily rotten attitude? Consider checking out Milwaukee’s own fuzzed out pop-rockers, Elusive Parallelograms. Their CD release And Everything Changes is certain to be unpretentiously energized. With 1956 and Certain Stars.

Man Man & Tim Fite, 8 p.m. @ Turner Hall Ballroom (1034 N. 4th Street)
A band that claims the influences of:  Lord of the Flies, boar hunting expeditions and Yeti mating rituals — how could they claim a live show anything less than captivating? Man Man, gaining a reputation for their incomparable live performance, are touring hot on the heels of their release Rabbit Habits. Entertaining genre-hopper, Tim Fite, opens.

Saturday, October 18th
Dinosaur Pills, Human Eye & Uh-Oh, 10 p.m. @ Club Garibaldi (2501 S. Superior Street)
Dinosaur Pills might not strengthen the immune system, but they certainly can’t hurt. Milwaukee’s furiously fast garage-punk band the Dinosaur Pills pack all the ferocity of their namesake into crunchy, digestible and under-three-minute songs. If that doesn’t choke-hold anything that’s got the old immune system in a tizzy, we’re not sure what will. With Human Eye and Uh-Oh.
